I know, I know, I missed the "3 months" post... BUT I promise I won't do that again!
Here's an update about our favorite mini mite...
As of right now, Sophie:
-discovered her hands
-can grab toys
-chews on her hands and bibs constantly!
-wears size 1 diapers
-wears 0-3 and 3 month clothing
-still LOVES baths and showers
-talks all the time... and squeals!
-holds her legs while getting her diaper changed
-likes to stare at the TV whenever there's music playing
-sleeps all through the night (at least 8 hours every time)!!!
-traveled across the country
-met Auntie Kalin, Uncle Matt, cousins Dean and Addie, Grandpa Case, Auntie Celeste, cousin Dane, Auntie Christine, Jaja, Uncle Scott, Uncle Nate, Great-Grampa Stimpson, and Great-Aunt Annie's whole family for the first time!
-went to Kentucky with Grandma and Grandpa Barron
-giggled for the first time! (she did it when Momma tickled her)
-is very "Mommy hungry"... and needs to have Momma in her sights at all times (I love it, but I'm glad it's just a phase)
-spent a lot of time outside... finally!
-has a lot more hair than before! YAY for not being a baldy!
-moved from Idaho to Ohio!
I love watching this little one learn and grow... she is so fascinating to us!

Idaho to Ohio
We've moved!
Following our hearts to be with family, we said good-bye to Rexburg, Idaho and hello to Mason, Ohio!
Our Sophie is quite the little traveler! At 3 months, she has already been in 10 states! During our trip from Idaho to Ohio, Sophie girl was the best baby ever! She never fussed unless she had a dirty diaper or was hungry. She slept most of the time while in the car and still slept well at night! We couldn't have even asked for a better travelling baby.... She was an angel!
Our cross-country trip was not so pleasant at first. It took us 12 hours to make a 4 hour trip from Idaho to Utah because of the trailer we attached to our little Chevy Cavalier. Little did we know (until we were trying to leave Utah) that our brakes were actually not working. Whenever we applied the brakes, the car was using manual, not power braking. Awesome. Not.
We ended up getting rid of our trailer right away, putting our stuff into a pod (a storage unit that we can have shipped out for us), and spending wasted money on auto repairs that should have been done right the first time. We're all the wiser now. We still thank the Lord for helping us stay safe and for making things turn out just fine!
Sophie got to spend some much needed time with her cousins, Dean and Addie, and her Auntie Kalin while we sorted things out in Utah. We had a great time! Addie loved helping with Sophie and loved holding her like a big girl! I really wish we would have gotten more pictures... but here are some from our time with the Armstrongs:
After spending some wonderful time with Kalin's family in Utah (thank you, again and again, for helping us and letting us stay longer, Kalin!), we headed to Cheyenne, WY, for a night, then made our way to Kansas City to visit my mom! Grandma and Grandpa Case loved spending time with Sophie, and you can tell from the photos that Sophie loved the time spent with her Case grandparents! Sophie also got to meet her Auntie Christine, Auntie Celeste, and cousin, Dane! It was a blast! I also got a NEW CAMERA for my birthday from Mom and Dave! I love it!
When we finally made it to Ohio, we were tired and worn out from travelling, but that didn't keep us from having fun! Drew's parents, Sharon and Keith (Grandma and Grandpa Barron) drove down from New York to visit us! We all took a day trip down to Lexington, Kentucky, to visit the University of Kentucky (to check out the law school and campus). What a beautiful campus! Silly me, even with TWO cameras, I forgot to take photos of the Barrons' visit, but here's what we did: went to dinner at East Meets West Chinese Buffet with the Drogowskis, Barrons, and Ackleys (it was my Aunt Annie's birthday!), made a day trip down to Lexington - and introduced the Barrons to Chick-fil-A (YUM!), went to church in our new Ward, went to Jungle Jim's grocery store, and had lunch and played games at Dave & Buster's. Next visit we'll make sure to get photos!
All-in-all, we had a great trip! We're doing very well now that we're living in Mason:
Our sweet Soph loves being near Gaga and Jaja and her two uncles. What a blessing it is to be close to family!
