James Conrad Barron came into our lives on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:36 pm. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, at The Christ Hospital. James weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long.
I was in labor from 3 pm on Tuesday until delivery at 10:36 pm. Everything progressed very quickly and I had a very easy delivery. I am so blessed to have had a healthy pregnancy and delivery with this babe.
James is named after our (Drew and Carissa's) grandfathers. James "Jim" Barron was Drew's Pa and was very close to him; passed away in 2005. Richard Conrad Drogowski was my Papa and passed away in 2001. We loved the idea of having family namesakes and have had our first boy's name chosen since we were first married in 2008. When we found out we were getting a baby boy, we knew exactly what to call him!
Sophie met her baby brother for the first time in the hospital. She was enthusiastic and even shared her new stickers with him - an endearing gesture. :)
We couldn't love this little man any more than we already do and we look forward to getting to know him in the days, months, and years to come!
